Father of Mrs. Angle Vents His Anger Upon Photographer, Who Snapped Him. STAMFORD, Conn., June 29.—Chief Brennan, Coroner Phelan and Dr. ‘Weaver, th@expert chemical analyst for the Coroner, made a final search of Mrs. Helen M. Angie's apartment fm the Rippowam Building this af- terncon before attending the inquest on the death of Waldo R. Ballou, who ‘was found unconscious in front of the building last Tuesday night. ‘The chief said that discoveries had) been made which left no doubt in hig mind that Mr. Ballou had been murdered and had not been killed by @ fall. “There may be an arrest for mur- der this afternoon,” he said. “Mr. Ballou was struck ‘down in Mrs, Angle's apartment.” Immediately afterward Coroner Phelan announced that the after- oon hearing of the inquest would be adjourned. Before the opening hour much ex- eitement was caused by Leonard Biondel, Mrs. Angle's father, who objected to having his picture anapped. He sprang at the photog- raph natched the camera from his band and tore the apparatus apart, Burling the pieces to the sidewalk, indicating that be himself had violent attacks of temper, though he has @ented his daughter !s subject to them, The photographer went to get a warrant for his arrest while Mr. Blonde! entered the courthouse in a fever of rage. Former Judge John C, Downs, counsel for Mrs. Helen M, Angle, be- fore the adjournment was announced, said that he would not permit his client to go on the stand at the in- quest, her health would not permit her to undergo the ordeal, he said, Besides, she is under ball ine with having inner to the authorities and her constitu- tional rights are invaded because she is not allowed counsel at a coro- ner’s hearing. The card was one of the most interesting of the meeting, with the Clover Stakes for two-year-old fillies as the feature. His Nibs won the opening ecramble of . maidens, three-year-olds and upward, but Glass came near tossing it off by paying a@ lot of attention to Dakota in the last eighth and over- looking Early Morn on the rail. Early Morn, thanks to a good break for her, jumped off in front and showed the way, closely attended by His Nibs and Dakota. It wasn't until they were well into the stretch that His Nibs caught Early Morn tiring and then went on to win in a mild drive, Dakota then tried to overhaul His Nibs and Early Morn, but hung in the last few strides. Rodondo, off badly, weakened after making up a lot of ground in the run to the stretch.
