MoNeely of this city, assistant adju- tant-general of the Third Brigade, N. @. &. ¥., who was found dead in a lodging house in Boston last ‘Thureday, was Killed and robbed in the belief of rela- tives and friends, An investigation will be begun immediately, According to members of the family, it has been learned that when Major MoNeely left Albany Inst Wednesday he carried considerable money and some Jewelry. When his body wae found, relatives say, there was but two cents In the pockets, and a valuable gold watch and diamond scarfpin were also reg. addition, friends assert that a deep gash on the buck of Major MoNeely's head and an abrasion over his right eye indicate foul play.
