J. Donovan yesterday to make an estimate of the cost of removing the debris from sidewalks in front lots belonging to the Fire Department. It is proposed to clean out the lots preparatory to rebuilding fire engine houses thereon. The board ordered the Ransome Com- pany to remove the bunkers on Howard street, below Third. A previous notice has been disregarded, and if the second is ignored the board will remove the bunkers on its own account. The bunkers on Battery and Union streets will be allowed to remain temporarily. The board ordered sewers on Seven- teenth, Eighteentn gnd Nineteenth streets, between Folsom and Guerrero, 05 |to be repaired after the City Engineer makes an estimate of the cost. The petition of lumber dealers that 48 /the dumping of debris in Channel street be prohibited was referred to 80 |the Harbor Commissioners. The board will ask the Supervisors for $8000 out of the bond issue to build a pile foundation for the proposed Seventh-street sewer. A Coroner's jury yesterday held an inquest in the case of Major Willlam B. Schofleld, who shot himself August 6 and found a verdict of sulcide. The jury also found that John Hill, who was killed by a Sixteenth street car came to his death through his own carelessness. The jury held that the killing of John R.
