Thus it is that “The Tempest” now fills the big stage of His Majesty's Theater with scenes the collaboration of his with Shakespeare. | for her in the way of providing her Probably no such adequate shipwreck “ with' the center of the stage, with | was ever put on the stage before. The | limelights and with élaborate settings, | Hamburg folk -were interested in the man and have subscribed money enough to send him to Berlin, whither Spectal Dispatch to The Call, {uhip, dash and affability and his West- ern ways appealed to the women of this State and it is certain that all of the Republican women and many of the Democratic women voters will favor the Republican nominee, giving to Roosevelt the largest woman vote ever cast for'a Presidential candidate in the State. The women of Wyoming take almost as much interest in politics as the men. They are well read and keep posted on the issues of a campaign. Becoming ¢ mother should be a source of joy to all, but the suffering and danger incident to the ordeal makes its anticipation one of misery, M *s Friend is the only remedy which relieves women of the great pain and danger of maternity; this bour which is dreaded as woman’s | severest trial is not only made painless, but all the danger is avoided by its use. STORE OF RICH MATERIAL. The music is being written by Liza Lehman, who rose suddenly to inter- national fame by her “Persian Garden” music—a height from which she lately fell to the depths of “Sergeant Brue,” for which she wrote music painfully unworthy of her. “Goldsmith’s book is replete with musical suggestions,” writes Bispham, ‘“and of these our liberettist will make the fullest use. Mascagni’s new opera, “Amica,” is to || peoplé, so that he Is probably better | known to the women of the State than any Presidential candidate that has CHEYENNE, Wyo., Oct. 22. —The ‘women voters of Wyoming will play an important part in the national and State elections next month, and realiz- ing this, the candidates on the Repub- lican, Democratic, Prohibition and So- cialist tickets are doing everything possible to secure these votes. Nomi- nally there are six women votes cast in Wyoming for every ten by the men, but present indications justify the pre- diction that not less than eight, and possibly nine, women will vote for every ten men that cast their ballots. The women voters are divided polit- fcally at about the same ratio as the men, There were in the last election five Republican votes cast for every three for the Democrats and Socialists, and there were about five Republican women votes for every three for the Democrats and Socialists. The Prohi- bition party draws equally of women votes from both of the leading parties, but this year, there being no gambling or liquor issues before the public, it is predicted that the woman Prohibition vote will be very light. Since ‘the inauguration of woman's suffrage in Wyoming, and since the women first took advantage of the right to vote, it has been a noticeable ‘| fact that wives, daughters, sisters and other women of a family voted just about as the man did. There have teen a few exceptions, where a candi- date was known to be unpopular with the women. ‘There appears to be a marked trend among the women'of Wyoming toward President Roosevelt. The President has campaigned in Wyoming, has hunted here and, a year ago last May, he spent: a week ‘as a guest of the Wyoming ‘him. His expert horseman- the women. Wyoming women now fill numerous positions of important pub- lic trust, to which they were elected only after hot fights against male can- didates.
