CHICAGO, Aug. 15.—There was a big de- mand for wheat at the start to-day, due to higher cables and the exceedingly strong senti- ment in the cash situation in the Northwest, &nd the market opened sirong. With September R@e to %e higher, at 83%c to K3 Shorts covered freely early in the day and with considerable buying by the bull leaders on the higher outside markets, Minneapolis being especially strong, cash wheat there sell- ing at $1 01 per bushei. Prices advanced rap- idly, September selling up to 84%c within a few' minutes from the opening.
