She carried a large number of passengers and a full cargo. She left the Oceanic wharf promptly at 2 o'clock and a few minutes later straightened out on her course and, with a bone in her teeth, was heading for the Golden Gate. There were many prominent Honolulu people among the passengers and a large crowd thronged the wharf to wave good- by. E. V.
