At a meeting of shareholders at t s office Saturday, August 10, an Advisory Board of the Montezuma Mining Company was organized for California and other sharcholders of the south- | west. The board en whose names will be later announced by cir- cular. the meeting and stoc 400,000 shares was represented. Mr. J. S. Thompson was elected delegate to the annual stockholders’ meeting in Tacoma, September 10, 1261 A DIVIDEND DECLARED. The Monffzuma Mining Company has an- nounced its first quarterly dividend, payable October 31, 1901, of §1 thousand shares of s | paid up stock; that being equivalent to 5 per cent per annum on the average cost of shares for the past six months. This dividend comes from a single sale of coal and agrees with the policy to which tHe company is committed. Other and larger dividends may be confidently expected from the same source as the produc- ing capacity of the coal mines is increased. Present price of shares is 18¢ cash or 2lc on installments. These are strictly ground-floor prices and the expenditure of a little money will put one In pessession of a considerable block of what s confessedly the best mining stock on this or any other market at the price. He who waits for the low-priced stock of a new company will lose the three years that the Montezuma has gained from its success in rlacing of shares.
