Charges of Criminal Negligence May Follow) the Dreadful Accident. CLEVELAND, ©. Aug. 14.—Five men were suffocated in the new works tunnel and three were drowned early this morning. 2 of the tunnel caught fire and was destroyed. Three gangs of tunnel workmen who liv were caught like rate tn and either had to jump a trap, ¢ and possibly drown, or perish by suffocation. One shift was asteep in crib when the fire broke out, and of this number eight perished and 22 were rescued, some of them badiy burned.
