THE SAN FRANCISCO CALL, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBTER 26, 1897, HE correspondents of THE CALL supply fresh information of a per- sonal nature this morning from towns and cities repre- sentative of a large Pacific Coast area. In this conveni- ent manner the citizens of places as far removed as Puget Sound from San Diego T may, as they leisurely sip| their breakfast coffee, dis-| cover about the move- | ments of their distant friends. | This is aimost next to Shak—;. ing hands and saying, “How | d’ye dor” The history of the people of the Pacific Coast is suchi| that individuals have a keen]| interest in what concerns their fellows—Kkeener, per= | haps, than would be possible | in the East. Some towns and cities are mentioned to-day that were not reported last Sunday. The idea is to get as much of fact as possible in a given space and to fur- nish a sort of birdseye view which may be of general in- terest and profit. e AUb\J rn.
