Paducah seems to be afflicted with ‘® periodical scare about the removal of the Illinois Central shops. The latest along that line is the story published in some of the Louisville papers that the I. C. has purchased 76 acres of land near that city for the purpose of locating shops-there, Vice President Harrahan is reported es saying that the shops at Paducab are inadequate and intimatiog that the shops here would ultimately be removed to Louisville. The story 1s & very pretty one and we don’t won- der that the Louisville papers pub- lish the rumors eagerly, but we be- lieve they are being buoyed up with falee hopes. We do not believe that Vice Pres Harahan made the statement attrib- uted to him; we believe that some imagioative reporter supplied the remarks that Louisville would be glad to have some prominent I, C official make. Also Paducah has very little cause to fear the removal of the shops for the probability of such an action by vhe 1. C. railroad company is most remote. Furthermore if the I, CU. dees ‘lesire to move its shops from this vity to Louisville and the latter city bids for them sgainst Paducah, it is dificult to sce what we can do to prevent their removal, ‘There are however many evidences that the I C, people are preparing to increase the business done at their = abops instead of moving the shops to} Our 75 cent heavy men’s pants Louisville, The Sux has reason to, cannot be bought elsewhere for believe that right now large additions less than $1.50, are being. planned for the shops in Sacrifice Sale, Paducah and that the real policy of White Building. would keep engage in The Elks Begin Work Under the New One. Dr, Harlandson says the reason is because the stomach lacks certain digestive acids and peptones, and deficient secretion of gastric juice. Natare’s remedy in each case is to supply what the weak stomach lacks. ‘There are several good preparations which will do this, but none so read- ily as Stuart's Dyspepsia Tablets, which are designed especially for ail troubles, and which cure all digestive weakness on the common sense planof furnishing the digestive priaciples which the stomach lacks, Stuart’s Dyspepsia Tab! give perfect digestion.
