The man whose trousers' seat is worn thin, the man whose winter coat is begin- ning to feel heavy and the man whose wife bas repeatedly told him that his old linen and tles “look simply awful,” were all lined up In front of the Guarantee Clothing com- pany’s new establishment at 1519-21 Doug- las street yesterday morning. The company has just moved over from fts old quarters at 1516-18 Capitol avenue, And this is the day of formal reopening. Because of some uncertainty about securing the bullding Mr. S. Arnstein, the head of the company, did not begin his preparations untll a month ago, but when the window eloths were removed and the doors swung wide yesterday the first floor wae clear for action, and most tempting to the many rospective customers who called. In the ere double windows there is what might De called a sample display from the stock, end it includes everything from overalls to he sauctest kind of read-to-wear garments. Inside of the Store. Within the store, on the right side, there fs a thirty-five-foot hat case, brim full of brims and crowns; then the cashier's | throne; then general utllities, and, finally, 8t the rear end, a suite of trying-on rooms, with comfortable furniture and full-length mirrors.
