For 056 consecutive performances it held sway at Hoyt's Madison Square theater, New York, Previous to that the longest runs ever know n toa New York theater have been ‘“‘Hazel Kirke 486 time, “Humpty-Dumpty” 453 times and ‘“‘Adonis” 603 times. So far as the realms of farce-comedy are concerned the marvyelous success of **A T'rip toChina has never been approached. In the produc- tion at the Boyd not only will the complete New York cast be secn, but there wiil be an entire carload of scenery from the Metropolitan theater, and it may be re- marked, incidentally, that it is something new for a farce comedy production to require an entire carload of scenery.
