S, Ament filed suit in district court today asking for $18,000 from David W, and Charles T, Brown. Ament says that he had a #10,00 mortgage on some Colorado | mining property, which he put up with a | Denver mine as collateral for the payment of 4 §7,000 note he had given. He couldn’t pay the note when due, and the ereditor threatened under the laws of Colorado to | sell the note with its security at public auction, According to Ament's story tho DBrowns were interested in the mining property covered by the mortgage, and as neither desired the paper to be sold at public auction, an agreement was made whereby the Browns took the mortgage, paid the note, gave Ament some cash and gave him the deeds to fifteen lots in Yolande addition to the city of Lincoln They represented the to be worth 815,000, says Ament, sightly and near the city.
