The prisoners are charged with the murder of James Roberson aud his son Jasper over a year ago, Sheriff Rainbow said that Cumberland and his wife had been living on some property be- longing to Roberson and located just in the edge of Harlan, One day, over a year ago, Roberson sold & valuable piece of pioperty for cash and he and his sun, Jasper, staid ail night with the Cumberland household, but have never been seen or heard of since that time. Soon after the mysterious disappear- ance of the Robersons Cumberland and s wife quiotly left the country and wero lo- cated at Springfield, Mo., aftera long search. Sheriff Rainbow said that the first words spoken by Cumberland and his wife when ar- rested w “Have the Robersons been found yet!” He $hinks the capture is a good one, but suys it will be hard to prove the crime, as no trace can b found of the bodies of the missing men, Cumberland is an uncouth looking man and was roughly dressed. When brought iato the police station last evening he had on a cowboy hat and wore a pair of ducking trous ers. As hie walked the manacles on his ankles that bound one to the oth anked with a sound that was anything but pleasant, and the prisoner certainly did not take any great amount of pleasure in his ornaments, Sherift Raiubow and his deputy leave this morning ou the Rock Island for Harlan with their prisoners, . ler's barb wire liniment has met with vaordinary favor, and cases pronounced incurable nave been treated with suc Every farmer should keep a bottle of this justly cetebrated remedy; ready for instant use, of - Bedroom Suits.
