Pork Shows a Good Advance Over Thursday—A Light Run Stimu- laths Values For Cattle— General Quotations, CHICAGO PRODU ( E MARKET. Cnieaco, Dec. 9. (Special Telegram to the Ber.]—The markets on ‘change opened quicter than for many days, but became quite active before noon. Nearly everything on the floor opened below the latest prices on Thursday. Wheat showed the least weak- ness on the first quotations, but in fifteen minutes wheat, corn and oats for May deliv- ery were all 'yc lower than the close and wheat and corn just 30c apart, and their action almost identical. Wheat touched its lowest point for the morning at 84%c and corn at bl @hdige. Then they returned to B4lc and 54! e at the same time, and a little beforc noon avheat touched the 85¢ point and corn th point. Here they parted com- pany, wheat going to 8h!je before faliing back, while corn fell back at once to d4¥c. As has frequently oceurred of late, the pro- vision market went contrary to the uction of the hog market. With many thousands of common und poor lots of hogs left over at the yards and with prices from 10¢ to 15¢ lower, ribs and 1 sold higher on the floor and mess pork advanced 25¢ before 12 o'clock. The trade in wheat was equal in volume to the recent average.
