The latest story of thelr misdolngs s that of a freight brakeman who made the run Wedneeday morning on the Q. extra from Creston to Pacific Junction, It ap- pears that when the traln left Creston in the morning, seven tramps were dlscov- ered to be on board, and they were ordered off by the brakeman. Later they climbed on again, and once more were put cff, The third time they clambered eboard, they were agein no- ticed by the brakeman who started to eject them, Thls time the tramps refused to go but selzed the unfortunate brake-twister by the meck and commenced choklng him, They then went through his clothing and stole among other things a valusble gold watch and chain. He was then uncere- monlously pitched off tho traln and rolled down the embankment. This oc- curred at Cromwell, where the embank- ment 18 very high and rough.
