At a late hour last evenlng Coroner Jacobs was notlfied of a tragedy which occurred early Wednesdoy morning in the outsklirts of the city. Jacob Shipporelt, a farmer who lives on the Cornelius farm, just below town, came into the clty and informed him of the facts, which were subatan- tially as follows: For some time past Mr. Shipporeit has been annoyed conriderably by trampe, and procured a] revolver, which he kept under his pillow. The Baby that Wes Found In the U, P Depot. Resders of Tiz Bee will romember the baby which was abandoned by its mother at the U, P. depot last winter, and was taken in chargo by Offizer Hirchey of the police force. This officer took the little waif kome and kept it in good shape, his wife nursing it with her own baby, sbout the same age. Althoogh soversl partles were anxfoue to adopt the child, the folks were afrald to let it go while un- weaned, and were too much attached to it to give it up uniess to a firat class party. According to the note sent Tue Bee from the mother of the child 1t 1s a year old this month. It row crawls wbout and is hoaithy and hearty.
