Early yesterday mornlng Willlam Reynolds, who s employed in the Boston Tea store, in golng through Bayllss park discovered a money drawer lylng under the fence, while wundry papers, evidently belonging thereto, were scattered about soaked with raln. By an examination of the papers it became apparvent that the money drawer belonged to Harry James' store, and when the propri- etor of that establishment came «down, he found that the ‘thieves had entered his place by vemoving a part of the glaas In the Pearl strest door. The glass had been ~cut out and removed {u rather an ex- rert manner, the pleces betng carefully aid down 80 as to make no nolss, and a hole belng made large enough for « man to crawl through, the thieves had entered, and torn out the patent money drawer, carrylag it away bodl- ly. Mr. James had left his pocket- book ln the drawer, contrary to his usual costom. The pocket book was tound with the drawer, but emptied of its contents, amounting to about $50.
