An amendment to make the bonds $100 each instead of $1,000, so as to allow Omaha pecple to invest, was lost, An amendmeut to make the rate of interest 5 Inatead of 6 per cant was also lost. This thriving young soclety held its closing meetlng Monday In the spacious parlors of Mr, G. M. Hitch- cock. The meeting wes largely at- tended and afforded great pleasure to alpresent. The Hermeslan deserves credit for having so faithfolly adhered to its original plan of work, and its members certainly have derived vast benefits from thelr aseociatione.
