Special Dispatoh to T Bxn CORN AND WHEAT STATISTICS. ‘WaeniNgToN, March 16 —An in- vestigation of the consumpticn and distribution of corn and wheat to March 1 has been completed by the department of agricolture It makes the stock of corn in hand at that date about 680,000,000 bushels, or 36 per cent of laat year's cxop., Of this 380,- 000,000 brshels are in the states of the central basin of the Tenneasee. Most of the remainder is in the mid- states, In comparison with the aver- age stock the past five years, at the same date, there s scarcely any in- crease l:!| :l;c mlddh‘ h:' ‘western states. In the south percentage of the orop is 43, lnstesd of 36.
