Stocks—The stock market was depressed in the first hour of businesa by a selling movement in Denver & Rio Grande, which deolined 14 per cent and carried the rest ot the market down with it to some extent The depression was, however, temporary, and after a fractional decline the market reacted and at noon was fully up to the closing prices last night for everything but Denver, and even that was only § per cent below the closing of last night. In the afternoon the market became dull with slight fluctuations in prices. In the last hour, however, the market was more active and weaker and prices declined $@2 per cent, the latter, Denver to 463, and al the rest declined. The decline left the market 3@2} per cent below the closing prices of last night. GOVERNMENTS, Yesterday.
