R, Adams, Fifth U, 8. artillery, has arrived here from Plattsburgh barracks, N. The troops of the Sixth Infantry at Fort Thornburgh, Utah, ordered to Fort Douglas, will march out by the way of Park City. Heavy snows have already fallen in thv mountains, and movements of supplies for the winter are about closed, Col. M. I. Ludington, chief quar- termaster of the department of the Platto, has applied for six months’ leave of absence, with permission to 0 beyond the sea.
