The much talked of organ concert was given at the Congregational church last evening, and though high expeotation had been raised, this ex- pectation was fully met. A rather business-like looking fel- low, though bearing the appearance of having had a long interview with some anti-amendment drinks, was yesterday arrested on the charge of being a beat. It ia said that on arriviog in the city he made a slight mistake and picked up a valise belonging unfortunately to another man. The mistake was cor- rected, Late he appeared at the Ogden house, registered as A, L. Flint, of Salt Lake, and after running hus bill up to §5_disappeared, forget- ting to settle, He was heard frcm down the street, where he repreented himself as Frank Thomson, a horse jockey, and ordered a new harness made, and a little later tried to bor- row $2.60 from the dealer on the strength of the order he had given him, He was then arrested on com- plaint of the hotel. He explained that he expected remittances in a day or two and would settle up, and in the meantime lies in jail, Constable McKadden yesterday ar- rested in Hardin, Isaac Whitney, charged by August Prim, 8 neighbor, with carrying concealed weapons, and making threats to shoot. The arrest is the ouigrowth of a neighborly quar- rel about a lane and fences, Justice Frainey continued the case until thus afternoon, A young German boy named Adolph Zimmerly poured into Justico Frain- eg's nearest ear yesterday the tale of his woes, He claimed that some four weeks ago he formed a plan with Chris, Burhop to go west and take up somo land, He had $260 and Burhop induced him to let him have it lest it should be stolen or lost.
