The game between the B. & M. nine of Omaha, and the Council Bluffs ball tossers, took place Saturday af- trenoon in this city. It proved to be a very exciting, close and well played game. The B. & M's are strong play- ers, and having been in several match games this season, have gained in practice an advantage over this city's nine, Still the latter held their own remarkably well and showed some ex- cellent work, and gave the assurance to their friends that with a little more practice they will be able to hold their own with the strongest of the clubs with which they will probably come 1 contact this season. This was the first of three games arranged between these two clubs, and though the B. & M’s scored a victory, it has not dishearteded the supporters of the home club, some of whom express their_willinguess to bet even that Council Blufts will win the next game. There is no doubt that a greatjmany ot these ““Liniments,” “‘Oils,” etc., so widely advertised and freely recommended for rheumatism and painful com- plaints of a similar nature have genu- ine merit, and will relieve certain types of the complaints named. But when rheumatism, neuralgia and kin- dred diseases have become chronic and threaten serious results, you may rest assured that they will help but very little. Although not recom- mended as “infallible,” the peculiar qualities of St. Jacob's Oil especially adapt it to those cases which may be termed ‘‘chronic,” and which have proviously withstood all known ‘‘spe- cifics'” as well as the prescriptions of the best physicians, The case of Mr. A. Heilman, editor of the Pittaburg Republican, who suf- fored with rheumatism for two years, we would mentiop, as an example. After vainly using all the best recom- mended remedies, and exhausting the skill of the most experienced physi- cians, without even temporary relief, it required only two bottles of St. Ja: Q 1 vy stage 84q Catarrh, Q E ECZEMA, o @ Old Sores, g Pimples, e g S BOILS, B Po” £ 2 i ] Cl‘h"{ When hot bprmgs Fail MAVARY, ARK., May 2, 1851 Wa have essed in one owni town who | Tiot Springs, » ol at d were fnally cured with 8.
