As midnight approached the guests found their way uptairs where supper was served. The rooms on the south side of the residence were thrown into one for the occasion and filled with a number of tete-a-tete tables, at which the elegant viands could be disucssed at leisure. The perfection and novelty of the arrange- ments for supper, the ease and dis- patch with which all were served, and the entire sbsence of all crush and confusion, formed a pleasing feature of a most enjoyable evening, and were themes of universal comment. In conclusion it may be said that Mr. and Mrs. Cowin can hardly fail to congratulate themselves no less over the perfect manner in which their large reception was conducted, than upon the evident enjoyment and gratification of their guests, who in- cluded in their number most of Omaha's prominent and representative citizens, When carriages drove up and wraps were donned and hearty good nights were said, each and every one departed with most pleasurable recollections of a delighttul evening and warm remembrances of the gerial hospitality and thoughtful attentions of their entertainers.
