Neleon Coy Dieappears Myste- riously, and Foul Play ia Feared. A Threat Overheard in a Saloon a Few Nights Ago. There is some little stic in the vir- cinity cf Duck bottom over the sud- den and mysterious disapperance of a man named Nelson Coy, a resident of that locality. Ho was about his home as usual Monday morning, and about 10 o’clock in the forenoon made the remark that he was going to get some food for his pigs, and started oft, He has not yet returned, and his friends are groatly excited over the matter, and are anxiously trying to solve the mystery. One theory is that he has - been foully dealt with, It has been report- od,to the friends that a few nights ago he was in a saloon, and there he had & row with a man who threatened to shoot him, and that he would follow him to the bitter end, etc. His sud- den disappearance s0 soon after leads naturally to the supposition that per- haps this threat has been carried out, and that he has been toully mur- dered. There seems to have been no ap- parent reason for the man *o volun- tarily absent himself in this atrange manner. He is a man who in height about five feet four inches, is about irty-five years old, and hus a mous- tache. He lost his wife by death a few woeks ago, and has been living with his mother since. The old lady is nearly beside herself on account of the anxious suspense, and it 1s to be hoped that she may soon be relieved by his return or some tidings of his whereabouts EALRRI i e “D'.
