Local peach growers have commenced to carry peaches to the New London and Norwich markets. The variety being picked now is Greensboro. There will not be so large a crop as was thought at first. The long drouth in the spring and rosebugs caused many to drop off. The early peaches are clingstone and not very good, but will soon be followed by freestones, which are much better. William 1.
