Gray chdrtered a special car from the Norwich & Westerly road, which left Hallville at 9 a. m. and made one stop at Mathewson's crossing for more to get om. Some came Dy boat from Mystic and Stonington. There were nearly 100 who represented the Sun- day school at Watch Hill and all had a fine tinre. Mre. Jermie Rice Mass., D. of Barrington, is visiting her sister, Mrs. D. Taylor of this place. . Taylor was a business caller in Hartford on Wednesday. Mr. Tay- lor intends to instal a new engine in his mill whereby he can make cider and grind corn Auction at William Gray’s Place. The anction at William Gray's brought good results. The farming tools were all sold and his Plymouth Rock hens brought $1 each. What is known as the William Spicer farm of 70 acres, with a good many peach trees cn it, was seold to James B. Mrs, Anna Weiman and William Woods were married at the home of the bride’s parents on Friday evening by Rev. All roads led towards Goshen on Wednesday for the Old Home day gathering and picnic of Goshen Sun- day school. These annual] gatherings, with two exceptions, have been held since 1872, and are still Jooked forward to with much interest by many. Notwithstand- ing the lowering ski the attendance this vear was as large as in former years. Some came by special -invita- gtion a long distance. Charles Wheaton has resigned with the Manchester Tramway company and intends to carry on his father's farm for him. His father, G. A.
