He is Bdmund J. Condon, a native New ILondoner, a graduate of school and of the University of Michigan, and a lawver of promise. He was the orator of his tlass in bhoth institutions of learning and has made addresseg on a variety of occasions in his native city that places him in the front ranks of the public speakers. Of the other young lawvers hinted at as candidates for the legislature, Mr. Con- don is their equal as a lawyer and their superior as a speaker, and would un- doubtedly prove a greater vote-getter than the best of them.’ He is a thorough republican, but endy lacks age’ to become experienced in politics. Be- ing a young man of excellent character, deservedly popular and a willing party worker, he will undoubtedly receive recognition when nominations for the legislature are being handed out. In fact there are many of the younger re- publicans who will 4nsist upon the nomination of Mr. Condon, and before caucus time arrives the party leaders may see the wisdom of the choice.
