But others were of the oplmon that if we women were ever going to do our part in this”great business of restoring the American government to the people that we ought to know something of the his- tory of industry. One sister who used to live in the city, and whose husband belonged to a labor union, said that if we ever wanted to know how much we were cheated out of under present eco- nomic conditions we ought to know about' the introduction of machinery and what. it had done to mankind. Good L ps all of these ideas are, it seems to mé'that we ought to know about the progress of the woman movement and the attainment of women’s rights, es-' pecially the right to vote—too long de- layed. I would be glad if some of the mem-~ bers of other clubs would write letters to the Leader telling what they intend 30 do, or what they think ought to be one.
