Baer, but only twenty or thirty thousand farmers saw i one for the Thanksgiving issue of 1915, year (Thanksgiving 1916) Baer’s cartoon for this festival Thanksgiving cartoon goes into over 140,000 farm homes. politicians and the hired anti-farmer editors guess, Equity Show and Sale Co-operators Announce Important Events at South St. Paul for December The Equity Livestock exchange has announced a thoroughbred livestock show and sale to be held at South St, Paul on December 11 and 12 , It is not as a money making proposition but is for the benefit of small farmers, breeders and men in business, Any- thing that benefits the farming busi- ness will benefit the towns and cities at which the farmers transact their business and at the present time there is nothing that will ' benefit business more in the Northwest than increasing the breeding of purebred livestock, It is to encourage the breed- ing of purebred livestock and to make it easier for. the small breeder to dispose of his good stock without.car- rying on an expensive advertising R L e B T AL AL 0 s T, campaign, that the Equity Co-opera- tive exchange is holding a show and sale where any breeder with thorough- bred registered stock can list the same for sale with only a minimum amount of expense charged to him foc selling his stock. There is no one making any profit whatever out of this show and sale but it is being held simply for the purpose of increasing the livestock in- dustry and getting the small breeders in touch with others that are in need of breeding stock that they have to offer. The show and sale will be confined this year to cattle, sheep and possibly a few hogs, but many letters are being received by - the Equity Co-operative exchange asking if chickens and horses will be admitted to this sale. It is member of congress, How many homes do you suppose and will give a rubber nickel to the closest guesser. : Lo paie d S hoped that'in time this show will be come one of the big events in the live- stock business and that it will include all classes of stock produced on farms of the Northwest, but this year the bulk of the stock will be cattle with a few offerings of very choice breeding sheep and a few head of thoroughbred hogs.
