Die Rebattion. MEETING AT HALMA Halma, Minn. Edit‘\.)r Nonpartisan Leader: J. Arthur Williams delivered an address on the question of the necessity of farmers organizing politically in order to secure their economic de- mands at the Halma consolidated school house. As a great number of farmers were present, a goodly number of new League members were secured. «Mr. Williams certainly knows his subject and no better lecture has ever been delivered in this village. He. held the close attention of the audience while he pointed out the purposes of the League. State ownership of ele- vators, packing plants, etc., is demand- ed and no one but Big Biz politicians can see a plausible reason why the de- mand is unjust. o Here is hoping that every farmer in our great Minnesota will turn’ poli- ticians out like our brother farmers of North Dakota and in this way' repre- sent ourselves.
