BR FLEETWOOD PARK. FOUR BOTTING EVENTS DECIDED—CHABRLES XOUNG, MAY BIRD, J, H. B, AND BLIND BOY THE WINNERS. Two aweepstakes and a like number of matches were decided at Fleetwood yesterday afternoon. The track was heavy, but the sport was of an interesting nature. First’on the card was asweepstake of $25 cach, in which were W. Brooks’ bay gelding Charies Young, John OD chestnut gelding Silly, G, Sharps’ black guld- ing Meringo, J. 3. Bailey’s chestnut mare Sarah and P. McKenna’s gray geiding Blue Ruin. The first bam was the favorite before the start, with Billy Seound choice and the others bat little thought of, Billy won the first heat, yet Young still had the call two to ope over the ficld. He captured the second, third and tourth heats and the race. Next came a match of $500 between Gerry Walker's Diack mare May Bird and DL. G. Cameron’s gray geld- ing Tanner Boy, mile heats, three in ive, under the waddle A contest under like conditions was decided dy the same horses a week or so since, when May Bird proved tne winner. She repeated ber victory yesterday, though it required four beats to decide 1.
