A Graphic Story, as Told by the Detectives, Purapzrraia, Oct, 27, 1876 The @aso of the three prisohers charged with con» phetty in tne abduction of little Charley Ross, as re- cited in this morning’s HERALD, is attracting much attention here, The letters which the police have captured, referred to im your eolumns this morning, fragmentary and vague as most of them ‘re, certainly establish two things, namely:—That Samuel Bemners, alias George Youshling, alias Punny Sam, with James Pigatt aud Sarah Brown, the \bree prisoners, associates of Mosher and Douglass, the men who are known to have done the kidnapping, and that Westervelt has beon justly be- eved to have been a participator im the knowledge of tbe crimo and that he now knows all about it, These letters, it genuine, would also seem to imply that the shild 1s still alive—e hope which many have given up. There arg about a dozen of these letters, the more !m- portant of which are given bolow. Nelson Parker, alias Jobn Williams, an intelligent begro, who-peaches” on the gang, surrendered to the police most of them.
