Sackett, Raq., No. 4 Cooper Union, for the purpose of organizing an association and determining upon a time and piace for holding a grand teunion of the surviving oMicers of that regiment. General Ulysses Doubleday, formerly major of the regiment, presided at the meeting, which was numerously attended, and a committee consisting of Lieutenant Bent and Majors Williams and Lee was appointed 10 ascertain the addresses and to communicate with other officers not present; fe com- mittee being Mstructed to report at the next meet- ing, which 18 to be held at the same place on June 15, when, it is expected, a much larger number will be present and more definite action will he taken. ANOTHER ALLEGED RAILROAD OUTRAGE, As the Morris and Essex train, due in Hoboken at half-past eleven last night, was passing the Newark station, a deaf and dumb gentleman became quarrelsome with his wife who had accom- panied him on a pleasure trip from New York. The conductor of the train, seeing that the passenger was rather disorderly, pals engine stopped and put of the man. Many of the passengers say that he was ejected on the middie of the road, and they heard him scream piteously as the train was moving away. The pees wife and child was conveyed to Hoboken, but they were unable to reach their homes in New York as the husband had the key of their house with him. They appeated toa policeman for assistance and were taken to the police station, where Sergeant Burke gave thein as suitable an aparlment as the miserable station house contained. The lady seemed very respectable and had many sympathizers among the passengers. THE ALLEGED TURKE SUICIDE, Mr. Hermann Turke, of Newark, who was re- ported in yesterday's HERALD as having made an abortive attempt on his life by cutting his throat, de- clares positively that the wound was occasioned by falling accidentally on a sharp instrument, and not of his own voittlon.
