The appearance o the course, bordered with @ brilliant throng of specta- tora, the grand galleries of the club stands crowded with Indies, and the knolls and groves on all sides dotted Diack with accumulated vehicles of the utmost elegance of Guish and ornamentation, gave abundant evidence of the success of the efforts of the club towards interesting end pleasing the jadies, who, more than all, popularize the sporte of the turf.
