The decorations of the Academy, of the beautiful pro- scenlum boxes, the dressing rooms, the lobbies, and alt the public portions of the fine edifice, are on the most magnificent sca'e. Tho lobbies will be newly car- peted, and not an inch likely to be expqsed to public gaze will be unrelloved by appropriate tapestry. Vases of natural flowers will be found in abundant luxuriance, sof lights, statues and pictures, flags and streamers appropriate to the occasion, will be seen in every direc. ton, charming to the eye, and lending an enlivening view to the enchanting scene ‘The entrance from Fourteenth street will be under a covered structure over the sidewalk to the building it- self, 80 that ladies need not be incommoded by passers by, but at once be ushered ito tho splendidly decorated drewsing rooms aasigned for their espycia! accommoda- tion. Here will be found attendants whose duty it will be to take care of their wardrobe, and to furnish all the conveniences required prior to their entrance into the grand and splendidly decorated saion du danse. The gen- tlemen are to be accommodated in rooms fitted up for the purpose, whore their superfluous robes can be deposited, and from thence wait upon their fair partners intu the Joyous ecene of the jubilee. The entire parquet is to be floored for dancing and pro- menading, and, in connection with the capacious stage, will afford space fora thousand couples to iuduige at the same time in the delightful whirl of the waltz, the delirious movement of the polka, ecbottische and mazourka, and the chastening and pleasurable influences of the modest quadrilie and cotil- lon. The stage will be govered by a tent, at the front and back of which new scenes, painted upon canvass by that fine artist, Mr. Mynard Lewis, apd his talented assistant, Mr. Dufoe, will be presented. One of the new designs will represent the figures of America aud Russia clasping bands over the arms of the city of Now York. America will be personated by tho figure of an Indian girl, and Russia by that of a female clothed ia furs, and showing one of the sweetest faces that the genius of painter ever dolineated or the oye of mam ever rested upon. This ellort of the artist will command especial attention from the gay throng. It ts unnecessary to dilate upon this part of ‘the programme further than to’say that all that art, ‘wealth, gaslight and brilliancy can bring to bear will bo furnished with a lavish and unsparing hand. And then think of the supper. It is to be under the direction of Delmonico, famous above the most famous as ‘an artist of the cuisine, and will be served up in Irving Ball, at all ours of the night of the festival, and be ap- proached by a covered archway leading from the Academy to the hall. That Delmonico will on this occasion outdo his great effort at the Miles O’Rollly banquet there is every assurance. In fact, anywhere aod everywhere, there is nothing talked of by the clile of every class but the grand dancing jubilee in honor of our Russian naval ‘Visitors oa the might of the th instant.
