Central was done as low as 13634, against 139 last evening, and Erie at 106%{, At the public board at one P. M. there was more dis- position shown to buy stocks. Hudson River rose 14% per cent, Central rallied 4% and Erie %. From the efforts made between the boards to borrow stocks it would seem likely that the market ,is oversold. At the second board there was a pretty general rally, and the tone of the rather strong. Erie rose 4, Central ¥%, and so on. Harlem rallied from the depression of the morning. Altogether the market presented a much firmer appearance. After the caM and at the four P.
