On the 27th inst., at 940 A, M., tm lat, 33 deg. 53 min. N., lon. 75 deg. 55 min. W., the Quaker City fell in with the steamship Philadelphia, McGowan, from Havana ‘22d inst. for New York, disabled, but required no assist: ance. Weather at the time very pleasant. Received from her one passenger and the following note from Captain McGowan :— ‘Sreawsmrr Procaparrna, Sept. 27, 185¢ Deak Caprsiy—Last vight the crank jim of the star Ddoard engive broke, which bas partly disabled us, and we are Dow running with oue Wheel.
