Having now given a detailed review of all the bu- siness pending before the American Congress, with but two wecke of the session remaining, it may be well to follow it up with a correct account of what our legislators bave done during the past nine months. If this account should prove scanty and unintereat- ing, the fault will not be mine. The official records. will prove the correctness of my statements, and when your readers begin to stare at the amount of legislation perfected by Congress, they must recollect two months of the session were lost in efforts to organize, and double that time in efforts to bring about disorganization.
