Stevens and Derr will sas- tain the principal characters. Broapway Tuxarkx.—This is announced as the last night of the engagement of Mr. Forrest, the American tragedian. The piece selected is Conrad’s celebrated tragedy entitled ‘ Jack Cade, or the Kentish Rebellion, in which Mr. Forrest will sustain his famed part of Cade, supported by Messra, Barry, Whiting, Pope, and Mme. Ponisi. The farce of ‘* Who Speaks First,’ will also be played. Tose who have not o! ed secured seats, should be early in attendance, as the house is sure to be crowded to overflowing. Buxroy’s Tukarke.—Brough’s farce of ‘The Phenome- non," the popular drama of the ‘Uld Dutch Governor,’ and the very favorite drama styled the ‘Serious Family, are the pieces selected by manager Burton for this even- ing, The casts erabody all the leading comedians. The course, we understand, will commence on Wednesday evening next, at Metropolitan Hall. For particulars, we refer our readers to the advertisement and programmes. Man. Vatentini.—The concerts given by this lady every evening, at Hope Chapel, are attracting very respectable audiences. The singing is excellent, and receives every night well merited cheers from the audiences. Mrs. McCready, a new actress, made a most successful début at the Walnut street theatre, Philadelphia, on the ‘Zist imst. A large and critical audience accorded to her enthusiastic and well merited approbation. She was complimented with bouquets,and at the close called before the curtain. Mr. Gottschalk, the American pianist, will give a con cert at the Musical Fund Hall, on the 28th inst. Mr. James Wallack, Jr., made his first appearance in Richmond, on the 21st inst. Madame Alboni will appear in Italian opera in Philadel phia on Monday, 28th inst. Mr. G. V. Brooke, the tragedian, had a highly compli- mentary benefit at St. Louis on the 1th inst. The directors of the proposed new opera house and the atre, in Boston, have issued a circular calling for plans, drawings, &c., the successful artist being entitled to the sum of $500. Mr, Roberts, the tragedian, is drawing full houses at Nashville, Tenn. Mr. and Mrs. Barney Williams arrived in St. Louis, on the 14th inst., where they were to fulBl an engagement. Mrs. Sinclair made her ‘irst appearance in Rochaster, on the 21st inat., before a crowded house, in the charac- ter of Mrs. Haller. The steam propeller John Hancock, which was placed upon the ways at the Charlestown navy yard some time since, thirty six feet added to her length, and other im portant alterations made in the shape of her bow, &c.; was launched on Thursday noon.
