Yesterday was the grand gala day of the visit of the Americus Fire Company, of New York, and right merrily did they all seem to enjoy themselves. At nine o'clock yesterday morning, fifteen omnibus- es were drawn up along Light street, in front of the Fountain Inn, and at 4 quarter-pastnine o'clock, the visiters and their guests, having taken their seats, the long line moved off at a rapid rate towards Fort McHenry, about “three miles from the city, where they had received an invitation from the commanding officer to visit the drill of the fumous Flying Artillery, two companies of which are there stationed, ‘comprising about 90 | men each.
