Yesterday afternoon, about 3 o'clock, the vicinity of 66 Leonard street, was thrown into alarm by the pi petration of # murderous assault with a knife, co: mitted by Johm Moore, on the person of Daniel Regan, jDflicting several stabs and cuts on the abdomen, from which the intestines protruded. The cause of this des- perate assault om Regan, as faras we can learn, con- sists as follows :—It seems that Moore and Regan resi- ded and boarded in the same heuse, No. 86 Leonard street, and a jealousy existed in the breast of Moore , on suspicion that he (| a) was on with bis wife, and bad absolutely him.
