Welegraphic Returns. New York, FIRST DESPATCH. Povenkerrsin, Noy. 843g A. M. Eight towns in Dutchess county give Taylor 1,617 majority. Columbia county, it is believed, will give Taylor about 4,400. and Cass and V: juren 2,100, Rensselaer county has given Taylor about 3,000 ma- jority. The returns, howevor, are not complete. In Albany county, three whig Asseurvlymen arc elected. The other members are doubtful. The vote in Albany county, complete, is—for Tay- Jor 7,030, for ( age 3,970, and for Van Buren 2,682, Onondaga Congressional District has elested Gott the whig candidate. Three out of the four members of Assembly elected in Onondaga, are whizs. SECOND DESPATCH. Utica, Nov. 8—1 P, M. Oneida county shows returns from all but three towns. The vote stands as follows:—Taylor, 5,603, Cass, 3,861; Van Buren, 4,184. For Congress, Matte. son, (whig) has 6,631; Williams, (dem ) 3,018; Mann, (free soil) 4,461, For Assembly, two whigs and one free soil member are elected—one remaining doubtful. THIRD DESPATCH. Aunany, Nov. 8—1g P. M. Eleven towns in Washington county give Taylor 2,881; Case, 873, and Van Buren 1,412, FOURTH DESPATCH. Auuany, Nov. 8—5 P. M. In Yates county, Taylor has e majority of 159 over both competitors. Van Buren is ahead of Cass. In Wayue county, Van Buren has a majority of 71 over both. In Ontario county, Taylor has a majority of 1,237, although he runs behind the rest of the whig ticket. In Monroe county (incomplete), Taylor is 1,700 ahead. Cass runs bebind his ticket. In Orleans, Caylor’s majority over Van Buren is 660; over Cass, 1,400. In Livingeton county (six towns), Taylor is 680 abead of Van Buren. The county will give a plurality for Taylor of at least 2,000. From Erie county we have returns as follows:— Towns, Taylor. Buffalo city. In the twentieth Congressional district, (Oneida county) the plurality of Mattison, whig, 1s 1105. Two whig assembly men are elected in Oneida county, one free soller, and one is in dispute. In Onondaga county, Cass has not carried a single town or ward. Taylor has a majority of 600 over Van Buren in the county. The plurality of the whig can- Gidate for Congress (Daniel Gott,) is about 400. Two whigs andtwo fressoilers are elected Assemblymen. ‘The whig State ticket has plurality in the county. Oswego is reported to have given Van Buren a small plurality. Duer, whig, for Congress, has a plurality. In Cayuga county, Taylor has a majority of about 450 over Van Buren. Fish, whig, for Governor, and Con- ger, whig, for Cougress, have a plurality of about 600. ‘Two whig assembly men are elected, and there is one doubtful. In Tompkins county, Hector gives Taylor « majo- rity of 100 over his highest opponent. Broome county gives Taylor a plurality of 505. Seneea county gives Taylor a majority of about 200 over Van Buren. The whig assembly man is elected. FIFTH DESPATCH. Povcnxerrsim, Nov. 8—11 P. M. In the Seventeenth Congressional District (Montgo- mery and Herkimer counties) Alexander, whig, has a majority of 118 over Nellis, free soiler. Nellis has majority of 1,232 in Herkimer, and Alexander 1,350, in Montgomery. In Chenango county (two towns to hear from) Tay- lor has amajority of 862over Cass, and considerable more over Van Buren. The other two towns will in- crease the majority for Taylor about 100, Burnett: whig, for Congress, runs ahead of Taylor, In Ulster county (twelve towns) Taylor bas 3,661; Cass 1,620, and Van Buren 1,671; Gould, whig, for Congress, has about 1,800 majority over his highest op- ponent. Columbia county gives Taylor 3,007, Cass 2,128, and Van Buren 2,118. The vote for Congressman is about the same. ‘The towns of Catskill, Athens, Cairo, Durham; Prattsville, Asbland, Windham, Greenville, and Cox. sackie, in Greene county, give Taylor a» majority of 1,260, In the whole county, Taylor’s majority will be about 800, In the Eleventh Congressional Distriet, (Columbia and Greene counties.) Sylvester, whig, bas about 3,000 majority over Olney, (hunker,) his highest competitor. Greene county haselected two whig Assemblymen. In Oteego county Cass has a majority of about 200 over Taylor. The whigs have elected one Assembly- man, surely, and perhaps two. In Schoharie county Taylor has a majority of 400 over Cass, Danforth, whig, is elected tothe Assembly: In Cortland county, Tylor has 300 majority, and the whig candidate for Congress has 400. Broome county gives 500 majority for Taylor. State ticket the same. Chemung county gives Van buren a majority of atout 400, Toylor's majority in Erie county, 1.350. yet to hear from.
