The parties have all been bound ome for tral i in the sum of $4,000 each I learn that Mr. Wheeler, the well known con- gressional stenographic reporter, is now confined in the Baltimore jail, anda an arrest for@ebt. It seems that he is in debt to a citizen of New York, who laid in wait for him he returned from Wash ngton, so as to avail himselfofour infamous laws for imprisonment for debt. He has now been confined nearly two weeks, and will proba- bly remain here five months, which is the time required for the amount of debt that he has been arrested on, betore he can swear out, or take the benefit. J. Simons Davis, the manager of the Harmo- neons, is also an occupant of the same extensive building, on the charge of being unable to pay his debts. The weather is still unsettled, having the ap- pearance of rain, though the sun occasionally | breaks forth as if determined to gain the mastery. The Democratic legislative ticket for the county was completed yesterday as follows :—Senator; Wm. F. Small ; Aasembl Stephen D. Anderson, Inq. Kline, Thomas H. Fo ‘syth, Thomas Dailey, John K. Laughlin, Thos. 8. "Peron, Jno. Rupert and Henry Matthews. The following nominations were made last eve- ning forthe mayorality by the three parties :— Whig, John Swift, Esq., the present incumbent ; Democrats, Richard Vaux, Esq., and the Natives, Peter A. Brown, Esq The Whig county convention made their gen- eral nominations for State Senate and Assembly, and the Whig delegation in the third congression- al district, put Wm. M. Kennedy, M. Coleman, and John J. Cresson on general nomination. The Natives have also nominated John W. Ashmead as their candidate in the Second Con- | gressional District. The foliowing candidates for Congress in the Third Congressional District were named before the Democratic Convention yesterda: Charles Brown, Wm. English, John T. Smith, John Mil- ler, George William’, John J. McCahen, and James Goodman. Tne approaching dedication of the new Odd Fellows Hall in this city, is to be the occasion of a grand procession on the 18th of September.
