Waddel at Fort Dobbs, to their own houfes near Salifbury ; in Rowan county N. Carolina, were fhot and fcalped by the Indians about feven miles from the Fort, and 20 from Salifbury ; Mr. Long had 8 bullets lodged in his bbdy, and Mr. Gillefpie feven: a womsn and four children were likewife butchered in a moft bar- barous mfanner. We heve no confirmation of a fecond attack on Fort-Dobbs ; all was well there 18 days ago.
