Commander, having therein taken a French Ship and a Snow, both Letters of Marque.— The Ship arrived here on Tuefday latt ; was taken on Saturday the 13th Inftant, to the Eaftward of the Ifle of Sable, is called the St. Michael, Monf. Her- rifon, Commander, burthen 280 Tons, mounts 16 Carriage Guns, and had 5o Men, yet made: no Re- filtance : She failed from Breft the 3d of April laft, was bound to Louifbourg, laden with Beef, Pork, Flour, Butter, Wine, &c.— The Frenchmen fay, That five others {ail’d with them from Breft, without Convoy—One of which Ships hove in Sight when Capt. Hallowell was fecuring his Prize ; but by Fa- vour of Night and a Fog, fhe efcap'd —The Snow was taken by him on the 17th Inft. likewife to the Eaftward of the Ifle of Sable: She is called Le Glorie, of 300 Tons, 6 Guns, and 34 Men, Monf. Hallowell touch’d at Halifax, which he left on Sa- turday lalt was 7-night,where he was informed, That there were then 13 Sail of Men of War cruizing off .
