The pudblic spirited men of our community have never failed to endorse full heartedly any project of merit, and there is a confident feeling that a Municipal Golr Course will receive that generous support which other good causes have received in the past, and thus place New Britain on a par with other progressive commun= ities, ¢ The tract of land, so generously made available by Alix W. Stanley to the people of New Britain, lends itself most 1svoradbly for the comstruction of a golf course at a very moderate coste L) i s The plan is to raise Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars with which sum, we are definitely assured, a nine hole course can be suitedly completed in & way that would make it easy to add thereto later on.
