My next Frid 3 'Spring Weather Lures Society Qut of Doors—Moon- light Dance at Shuttle Meadow Club Saturday, May 18th — Weddings and Engagements .. Crowd Social Calendar. 'HE spring season in town is at its height with social events | coming thick and fast. Martha Moore’s wedding and 1ts attendant festivities kept society on the go this week with a continual round of gay affairs, noon luncheon parties, teas, showers, dinner gatherings and dances. Her wedding on Thursday drew a representative group of social lights, her relatives for the most part, though here and there among the assemblage of handsomely gowned guests were noticed a few of the more intimate friends of the young couple. § Thursday night witnessed another colorful party in town, a dance and supper at the Shuttle Meadow club, which brought | . to & close what society calls the Philip Stanley subscription dances. Si Yaffe and his orchestra played for. the dancing which was preceded by a score or more home dinner parties of ygarious sizes. and Mrs. John Cutter: . moonlight dance and an-old fashioned country dinner, the | gayest in many moons, leads the list of events slated to| occur out at the Shuttle Meadow club next week. Bolton and Cipriano, under the personal direction of Mr. Bolton, will furnish the dance music and dinner will be served at eight o'clock. All sorts;of novelties and entertaining features are on the program for the evening and it goes without saying that a record breaking erowd will turn out for this brilliant party, the details of which are, as usual, in the hands of the regular club entertainment committee which boasts Harold M. Parsons | at its head. - E Horse Show at the Troop B Armory in West Hartford draws ever increasing crowds as the week advances and | etds tonight with a full house and the proverbial burst of | glory. Scores and scores of localites visited the Armory on| "Thursday and Friday, some to view society but many niore with | interest in the show itself which compared more than favorably ! with its predecessors. Right here let us note that interest in this particular sport is much increased in town and in Berlin. | In Stanley Quarter, the bridle trails are a popular .hnven‘ for the equestrienne. In Berlin with Mrs. Matthew Gnswoldi as the ring leader the sport is well on its way to becoming a| permanent fixture. Hunt breakfasts, paper chases and drag| hunts dispute prominence with the usual run of bridge parties. | PERSONALS Here and There With New Britain Folks—Visitors in | Town. | Smith strect are spending a few | | days in New York city | Mrs. Pardon C.
