At least we thought £0. The BOSCH RADIO Bold and Serviced By ANDERSON ELEC. CO. 163 Arch Street BOSCH RADIO Bold and Serviced By BLAIR & BRODRIB 170 Main Street selections were appropriate to the season and the rendition was su- perb, The program centered about] one theme and not once was it broken with a jarry, compromising melody. Before the program went on the alr, it was announced that the Cincinnati Symphony orchestrs under the direction®of Frita Reinor would share this wonderful program with the choral society, and indeed it was one of the most pleasant sur- prises “of the year—the combine waa excellent. The most {nter- esting number of the program came at the conclusion with the choir and the orchestra rendering jointly {Handel's “Hallelujah” from “The | Messiah,” a most fitting finale to a| |great program. We congratulate {Dr. John Finley Willlamson, direc- tor of the choir on his superb work | ‘lnd also Mrs. H. E. Talbot, patron- | ess of the choir. | In order to set the many doubt- ers at ease, we take this opportunity | to announce once and for all, that the “Real Folks” personnel and the “Old Fashioned Singing School” ag-| gregation are not one and the same | group of pérformers. WL, Cincinnati offers another of | those exquisite symphony concerts tonight at 8 o'clock by the Cincin- !nati Symphony orchestra under the | direction of Vliadimir Bakaleinikoff, {assistant conductor. The hour of music will open with the overture i(o Btrauss’ “The Bat,” followed by |the famo: - “Traumeri” by 8chu- | mann. Other selections in order of anlr appearance on the program in- {clude Svendson's “Zorahayda," | Tschaikowsky’'s “Valse des Fleurs, {Halvorsen's “Entrance March of the | Rojars,” Liszt's “Sccond Hungarian | Rhapsody,” Grieg's “Triumphal iA\lnn‘h.“ Herbert's “Dagger Dance” |and Rubinstein's “Melody in F." A glimpse of Cape Cod, drawn from the well known stories of Jo- reph C. Lincoln, will be offered in | the regular weekly sketches present- jed over WEAF and WTIC at 7:30 tonight. The incidents constituting |tho sketch have been selected from | Lincoln’s novel “Mary 'Gusta,” rec- | ognized as one of the best of his \m:my popular Cape Cod tales, and incidentally. it is the first time a | Lincoln story will be dramatized over | the radio. | = | “Cross Scctions of New York™ {s the title of a new scries of programs | to be broadcast this evening at 7:30 {over WJZ.
